The FDA is advising consumers not to use Similac, Alimentum, or EleCare powder infant formulas if

  • the first two digits of the code are 22-37; and
  • the code on the container contains K8, SH, or Z2; and
  • the expiration date is 4-1-2022 (APR 2022) or later.

What to do:

  • WIC participants can exchange the recalled formula at the store it was purchased.
    • recall policy and supply will vary by store
  • If you still have WIC formula benefits, you will be able to purchase different formulas at the store.
    • Use the WIC shopper app to check your benefits and see available formulas.
  • If you have an ENRP formula, Procare will be contacting you.
